If you don’t have insurance, the manufacturer of PrEP has a program called Gilead U.S. Advancing Access® Program that can help you afford costs related to PrEP.

Is there assistance for prescriptions?

  • The Partnership for Prescription Access (PPA) program helps people without insurance access prescription medications for free or at a low cost. To find out if you qualify:
    1. Call the toll-free number: 1.888.4PPA.NOW (1.888.477.2669).
    2. Know the names of the medications you take.
    3. A trained specialist will answer your questions and help you apply.

Connecticut Insurance Exchange

Due to the Affordable Care Act, uninsured people can access healthcare. The enrollment period is from November 1 to January 31. Special enrollments may be requested due to loss of existing health insurance, recent marriage to someone in an Access Health CT plan, or a permanent move to Connecticut from another state.
